How to measure yourself correctly for a dirndl
At Bayerische Alpen we attach great importance to individually made dirndls in order to offer you a perfect fit at an affordable price.
Chest, waist and hip measurements
To get your tailor-made dirndl, proceed as follows:
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest with the tape measure held horizontal.
- Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, typically just above your belly button.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Dirndl length
After taking your bust, waist and hip measurements, look at the size chart provided with each product. This chart gives a corresponding length that determines the overall length of the dirndl. Choose the length that best suits your height and personal taste. We offer lengths of 50 cm, 60 cm and 70 cm so you can choose the length that suits you. Tip: Skip the limitations of the size chart and opt for a custom length for your dirndl. At Bayerische Alpen we create custom designs that take into account your desired dirndl length.
